Our little chalet is one of the original chalets designed by Professor Peter MacIntyre in 1986 for Dinner Plain. It features exposed beams, timber lined ceilings and walls, cosy reading nooks, picturesque windows, a huge stone fireplace, a tiny loft in the second bedroom reached by a ladder complete with its own tiny attic window and personal reading light. The kitchen is compact yet well appointed with a new Belling oven, rangehood, microwave and refrigerator. Cookwear, china and crockery have been carefully selected for this area. Adjoining the kitchen is a sitting room which is heated by a gas heater and a huge stone open fireplace. Slim line electric wall panels heat the bedrooms, drying room and bathroom. Comfortable built in sofas flank the fireplace and a new charcoal sofa completes this space which is perfect for couples or a small family.
